I'm sitting at home from the meeting,
A full breakfast with coffeee I'm eating,
I will go take my shower,
While they study the Watchtower,
So sad they wasted their morning.
for those of you who missed the dc, i thought i'd share my notes so you, too, can partake of the spiritual feast.

i heard a rumour today to the effect that there is a new gb member in his late twenties/early thirties.
i stress that this is unsubtantiated and requires confirmation or quashing.. can anyone confirm or definately deny it?.
Certainly possible, but have not heard that.
their email address is: xxxxx.
and their message is:.
you probably would say, 'i didn't abandon him, i can still serve him on my own.
Interesting. What I see here is someone trying to figure it all out, and doing a pretty poor job of it. A least they're giving it some thought, albeit within the confines of their cult-controlled mind.
Thanks for sharing
i have been on this site lurking for over 2 years and this is my first post, i feel so bottled with emotion that i have to let it out somehow so i do not have an emotional breakdown!
i was raised in the organization and am married with 2 children ages 4 and 2. my wife and i have been inactive for about 2 years and i have always had hard questions that were never answered growing up, such as blood policy and how david and his men were allowed to eat from the bread reserved for the high priests without death penalty since it was life or death.
carbon dating on human remains/tools that date back 30-40k years, far surpassing the 6k year man creation date, the double standards and very real "human" aspect on the organization and its decisions and history.
Welcome EASTCOAST.
Handling this with kids is tough. I think a lot will depend on whether your wife is on board or not.
it's a well known phenomenon i've observed from jwn, my own cos. a new co we had once who was fresh from being a normal elder and after a couple of visits he said, "well i've finally become a true co...i now have food intolerances.".
i mean, only once did my husband and i ever have a co around for dinner and they couldn't eat this, he couldn't eat that, she couldn't eat this...it was so hard to cook something with none of the zillions of things they were 'allergic' to.. and then after all that the wife couldn't come anyway because she had a naturopath appointment or something.. why do all co's seem to have weird dietary problems?.
.
stress - depression - psychosomatic illness.
I'm with LOST on this one.
i am durden.. a teenager that is an unbaptized publisher and is trying to leave this damn cult !!!.
i have been lurking here for some time and i decided to start posting with this intro.. im from europe, both my parents are jw's, my parents are both teachers (math teachers).. my parents are "softcore" jw's, they accept all my questions and try to answer them.. i am trying to "convert" my dad (an elder which might complicate things), me and my dad recently had various discussions about the org ("discussions" on the good sense of the word).. we talked about jehovah in the nt, 1975, 1914, gb in 1st century, the cross, "new lights" ..., you know the usual stuff.. and all is going well i think, i think i can "convert" him until the end of summer.. i mean is a logical man, what can go wrong ?
man, when i found jwfacts it was like my world had collapsed, all thoses lies .... but its good now to have found the truth.
Ditto what PROBLEMADDICT said
And get a full university education before you try "rocking the boat" too much. It would seems your parents would be open to at least that possibility.
And welcome!

Well, even though you've done counseling, I would recommend counseling with someone who treats PTSD. The inappropriate-guilt-rearing-it's-ugly-head thing seems like a sign of post traumatic stress, IMHO. I know where you're coming from.
i believe most witnesses believe that there is nothing new in their religion....would you agree with them?.
20 years ago it really felt like, "We gotta keep doing what we're doing because the End is sooooo close!"
Now it seems like, "We gotta keep doing what we're doing because. .. . . otherwise we won't be doing it.. .or ummmmm. . . . . What are we doing this for?"
notice these two attorneys opining on this case.. http://watchtowerleaks.com/tagged/child-molestation.
Wasn't real impressed with McCabe. They'll keep repeating the same canned crap over and over until they're bankrupt.
some have wondered if captives of a concept had anything to do with why the governing body changed their interpretation of the most important scripture in their theology - matthew 24:45-47. of course there is no way of knowing.
but since some of the changes deal with matters that are brought out in the book, it does seem fair to wonder.
the book makes the major point that according to their former interpretation the only way the society could be gods faithful and discreet slave organization today is if they had received jesus belongings appointment in 1919. .
I don't think she will truly give it up until her mom passes away.
I think I'm in the same boat with my wife.
